The Eternal Ones - Kirsten Miller Haven Moore has always had visions of a man named Ethan and another life. She tells people of places and events that occurred long before she was born. Her mother and domineering grandmother tell her that she cannot tell others of her visions. Growing up in a small Tennessee town people view Haven as an oddity and presume her visions are signs of the Devil, but one day Haven finds irrefutable proof... Iain Morrow, celebrity bad boy and spitting image of Ethan. Haven decides to risk everything and flee to New York in pursuit of Iain. This book weighs heavy handed on the Young Adult romance-y, whinge-y angst for my tastes. I was reminded of V.C. Andrews for the first chunk of it... and then the latter half of the book felt like a completely different book. It was a good read, but I found it to be, perhaps, 75 pages too long. There ends up being a long mysterious element to it that drags into "What the hell is going on?" territory. I wanted resolution, but by the time I got it I was long over it. I had fun with it, it was just too drawn out... earning it about a star less than it would have received otherwise. It gets a high 3.5 out of 5 stars just because of the length. It was fun, just too long.- review courtesy of www.bibliopunkk.net
