Only the Good Spy Young (Gallagher Girls)

Only the Good Spy Young - Ally Carter Ally Carter books are always delightful. Only the Good Spy Young was no exception. I always enjoy her fun, fanciful reading...for about a day, and then I am left Carter-less and sad for the remaining 364 days until another Gallagher Girls book releases. Oh well. What I continue to love about Carter though is her ability to keep me as a reader on my toes. Her characters are witty and candid, her banter is clever and funny, and her plot twists always a hoot. She also tends to write about things I very much adore - The Gallagher Girls novels are about a specialized prep school that trains uber brilliant young women to be spies...and not just ANY spies, but the top of their game kind of spies. These girls can speak multiple languages, deactivate bombs single handedly, and kill people with all sorts of interesting non-weaponry... but give them a normal situation, forget it. All that brilliance is chuck out the proverbial window. At the point I am at it is largely character development as far as plot progression goes, but I'm not mad at it. This was a great book for Cammie Morgan, the main heroine in the series. Lot's of impacting things happen, but you'll just have to take my word for it, or read the book for yourselves. I found this one much more entertaining than the previous one.Are they perfect? No, but for a fun afternoon's romp you can't go wrong with an Ally Carter book. 4 out of 5 stars.- review courtesy of www.bibliopunkk.net
